It’s been a while since I last blogged. I’ve been so busy writing multiple blogs lately. I guess it’s time to come back to this writing habit again.
Now that I’m 30, but I feel as if I have an energy of my 22 year old self, which is strange but make sense at the same time. I’m more patience and clear headed, the only thing I need is health and time.
A bit about Lectron, my startup company.
Lectron is very simple. In short, it is an instant self serviced metaverse DDoS protection and anycast acceleration solution.
Detailed descriptions
Lectron protects the real time multiplayer metaverse from DDoS attacks. Current enterprise solutions take weeks to set up real time applications against DDoS, and they are not effective because enterprise anti DDoS solutions only focus on websites, not the metaverse – we help people set up metaverse protection in minutes, with significantly less learning curve. Specifically, we help keep best uptime, and speed up their network so that it can handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent online players with fast response rate, snappy interactions, no jitter in movement, flying, driving, fighting, building, with massive audio/video chat, all without interruptions inside one single virtual world.
It’s much better than other enterprise solutions because it’s focused on real time applications such as metaverse, multiplayer game, spatial audio that have tens of thousands of players online at the same time in the same place. Current enterprise solutions don’t work, and current solutions let a lot of malicious traffic pass through their firewall intentionally to damage the customers’ applications. Lectron’s anti DDoS is focused, targeted and precise to work for those real time applications.
The price is the most affordable in the market, most customers moved to us for the affordable and pay-as-you-go pricing, with $3 entry price and $0.01 / GB usage
The dashboard is simpler than most enterprise solutions these days. Lectron dashboard is simple with a low learning curve.
We also recently launched the multilevel affiliate feature where internet marketers can earn a small amount of money for sharing lec.net/{username} link. You earn at least 20% for a referral and more when your direct referees refer more people to Lectron.
Lectron is like the combination of price + simplicity + convenience, all in one place, set and forget.
Additionally, because of our beliefs in the metaverse, Lectron also has a portfolio of experimental products focusing on the long term vision of the metaverse. We are what the metaverse market needs now, one year from now and 10 years from now.
• molly.com (like creating subreddit for each metaverse community)
• Lecverse (metaverse game)
that was the vision, but why did I choose to work on it?
The Why
It started when I was 20 years old…
I got multiple DDoS blackmail attacks during the time when I personally built one of the largest Minecraft game servers in the world. Fast forward to today, the problem still exists and even at a larger scale and complexity. I’ve come to understand that most enterprise solutions out there protect the attackers, because those enterprises have incentives to let DDoS problems exist due to their content-neutral policy.
As an avid gamer and tech geek, I was lucky to be with computers from a very young age. I have played computer games since I was 3 years old, in 1995 when my father bought a Windows computer for me to use. He is the director of VTI, a Vietnamese company that brought the internet to Vietnam and launched the first two Vietnamese satellites. My father passed away, and I created a website dedicated to him at ng.org. It was funny because when my father asked me and my sister if we wanted to work for his company one day, we both said no. Now I’m working in a similar field. I have always been well versed in telecommunication since the start of my life, and have experience with the original metaverse games at the start of the internet with games such as MU Online, Worlds Online, WoW, etc…
As time went by, I talked with many game server owners, streamers, and metaverse builders. I noticed that the metaverse and multiplayer gaming DDoS attack problem would just keep growing and growing, while enterprises only focusing on protecting the web at hefty price, leaving a big gap in the market that only a few can solve. From now on, the mitigation methods should be simpler and different, with a combination of security by obscurity and security by honeypots so that it can be effective for the metaverse future.
There you have it, I truly believe I’m the one who is destined to solve that problem. Not only for me, but as a tribute to my father.
As the term metaverse ddos protection is not popular as of right now, because most so called “metaverse” games recently were just junks with no real intense usage.
But, let’s wait 3 years.
We’ll see.
